With cold days, and oodles of winter walks, I need to feed the children with long lasting warm nutritious food, this is an easy way to get in their essentials.  I do hope you give it a go and tell me what think.👂

3 leeks chopped

tablespoon of butter

10 large potatoes peeled and chopped

6 cups of water ( or more if needed)

1 cup of milk

1 can of green lentils

salt and pepper to taste.

Gently fry the onions in the butter, then add potatoes water and lentils, with water.  Allow to simmer for half an hour, then add milk and blend with hand blender.  Add salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle with cheese and a slice of homemade bread ❤️
