It’s been rather chilly here, so what better way than to make a warming casserole at a home education group.

We all took our own dishes, and with the groups money we bought some vegetables:-onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, turnip, Swede, tinned tomatoes and celery.

I took along bay leaves from our garden, and some spices to share too.

The communal kitchen was a buzzing with chat as young and old created their evening meals.

The pans simmered in the oven whilst the children played and the parents had time to catch up with each other.

The smell was divine, and some of the boys had a sneaky load before they were taken home!
