When we were out on our nature walk we found some frogspawn in a puddle, that was about to dry out. So we brought them home and put them in the childrens paddling pool. We luckily used our water rain bucket from the roof for them to live in, as I am sure chlorinated tap water would kill them.

The children made a weekly diary of their growth. They were dissapointed when they grew into frogs and hopped away. We hope they will come back this year, we will be keeping a look out for them.

So keep an eye out when you go walking with your children, this spring time, to see if you can find any frogspawn in ponds, or lakes, and create a life cycle chart for your children to pin up in the wall.
