For our family, it is in this time when the palette outside of our windows is wintry and monochromatic and these brighten up the room. Personally I adore making these stars. I buy kite paper as they last a lot lot longer and come in pre cut paper squares which are easy to fold.

This craft really teaches children eye and hand co-ordination, angles, maths and geometry.

Once the shape has been made the children are amazed when they hold them up to the light and can see more geometric shapes as each petal overlaps each other.

Have a go at making these and they will brighten your home any time of year.
